Not able to use Format Painter multiple times

Hi
I am using word 2000 on windows 2000 OS. I am not able to
use Format Painter multiple times. It is only working for
one selection.Pl help

Vipul,

To use the Format Painter button to copy formatting to more than one
location, double-click the Format Painter button. Click the button again
when you're finished, or press ESC

Alternatively, avoid the button altogether and use Ctrl+Shift+C to copy
format and Ctrl+Shift+V to paste it. The selected format will remain
available until you copy another.
